  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
I would probably want to be an Auror. First off, they are responsible for eliminating dark wizards, which is super challenging. I would definitely want a challenging profession. Second, I'd get to follow in the footsteps of the like of Alastor Moody and the Longbottoms. Good stuff!

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
History of Magic. I could do a better job than Binns any day (and in real life, I'm studying history). The wizarding world is so incredibly rich with history that it would be fun to teach all of that. Plus, the only thing I read outside of Harry Potter and school books are history books!

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
Sure. If my name is picked, the powers that be must think that I'm up to the challenge, and I'd definitely be up for that. Would I win? Maybe. But it would mean a lot to me just to survive it :)

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
A large cat of some sort, most likely a panther. I've been accused of "prowling," and also the heightened night vision would come in quite handy, as would the speed. Plus, it would be cool to be able to purr.

  • If you could be written into any HP Series book as a new character, which book would it be, and who would your character be? Why did you choose that book/character?
Mmmm... providing I could mess with canon: Could actually belong in any book...
I am a child going into my first year. I was raised by my muggle mother.
During sorting, Professor Snape faints. Why? Because I am his long lost illegitimate child. More importantly: I'm not a Slytherin. Ego blow to the Potion's Master.
    haha. in my dreams.

  • What is your favorite magical spell/charm? Why?
Disillusionment charm. So I can wander about undetected for a time without having to carry around an invisiblity cloak.

  • Name three reasons why you would like to be sorted into each House.
    Ravenclaw:
-There would always be someone to help me with my homework.
-It would be nice to talk to someone on an equal intellectual plane. I can get a bit nerdy.
-People wouldn't look down on me for being nerdy. I love to learn.

    Slytherin
-Love the ambition. I'm a naturally ambitious person, so it would make me even more so.
-Most of them have friends in high places...
-I'd love to be more cunning. Breaking the rules is fun :)

    Hufflepuff
-Patience is a virtue I don't have. Maybe I could learn.
-They are hardworking, which is a trait I admire.
-Having loyal, honest friends is important to me.

    Gryffindor
-I am naturally passionate and opinionated.
-I would do anything for my friends and family. I'm fiercly protective of loved ones.
-I recognize the respect that comes with Gryffindor's house.

  • You've received your O.W.L results. What are your results? (You have to have failed or done poorly in at least one subject)

Ancient Runes - Outstanding (languages are a strong point for me)

Arithmancy - Acceptable (I would try really really hard, but the truth is, I'm not very good with numbers)

Astronomy - Exceeds Expectations (I love the stars. see username.)

Care of Magical Creatures - Outstanding (not a hard class to do well in)

Charms - Outstanding (Swish and flick!)

Defense Against the Dark Arts - Outstanding (I want to be an auror, remember?)

Divination - Poor (yeah... I would have made stuff up on the OWL exam)

Herbology - Acceptable (I have a black thumb)

History of Magic - Outstanding (I love history. end of story.)

Potions - Exceeds Expectations. (I can follow directions, but I have bad luck at sciency things so I wouldn't get an outstanding).

Transfiguration - Outstanding (I see myself being good at this subject, as with charms)

  • If you could have any superpower - but only ONE - what would it be?
Invisibility. The ability to walk around undetected, poke around without anyone seeing me, and eavesdropping could prove to be useful.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why?
As cliche as it sounds, Hermione Granger. I am such a know-it-all (I cried when I got my first B. It was pathetic), and used to be a really good kid. But over the years I became quite corrupted by my male best friends... though I am still a know-it-all. I've learned through life that sometimes you have to break the rules to get where you want to go. Plus I understand the bushy hair/bad teeth thing.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I would see myself with my dad. He died when I was young, and I wish everyday I could see him again.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I'd buy a house for my husband and I. Currently, we're living in a one bedroom apartment living paycheck to paycheck. Then, I'd pay off the student loans. With whatever I had left, I'd travel the world :)

  • Which HP book is your favorite and why?
Prisoner of Azkaban. My mind boggled at the sheer genius of the time-turner sequence, and the way things happened for a reason in the present, only to later see it from the other side. God, it still boggles my mind. That and I was so deliriously happy that Harry had a godfather.

  • Which HP book is your least favorite and why?
Order of the Phoenix. And thats only because I have to choose. This is because I feel so bad for Harry... he's depressed, and to top it all off, his godfather dies and he feels like it's his fault.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
An archaeologist/Egyptologist. Considering what I'm studying, I can say my train of thought is still the same. I still love history. My ideal job: being a set historian for a movie production company. Ever since I saw the interview with the set historian from Pirates of the Carribbean, I've wanted that job so bad. It's perfect for me.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
I've always wanted to learn by osmosis, so here it goes.
Helluo librorum : especially useful for cramming for exams when you've been procrastinating. You say the incantation over the textbook you wish to learn, then sleep with it under your pillow. and voila! You can instantly recall anything out of that textbook for the next 24 hours.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
It would turn into a bonecrushing snake. After the counterspell, it would blow up like a balloon animal (think that scene in Shrek where he makes the balloon animal out of the snake).

  • What do you look for in a friend?
I look for someone who I could confide in, who respects me and who I can respect in return. Someone who can laugh at my bad jokes, but is not afraid to sock me if I'm being stupid.

  • What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
To travel the world, visit every country at least once. There are so many places I want to go, and I can't wait till I go to Europe next year :)

  • What trait most annoys you about other people?
People who don't care about what's going on in the world today. People who look at me like I've grown a second head when I mention the AIDS crisis in Africa, or who have no idea that there is a genocide going on. People who don't understand the impact of politics on our lives today- that yes, all the way over there in Washington, things are happening that could quite possibly take away rights that we deserve. Especially women. ::steps off soapbox::.
    I guess igorant people.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
    1. I'm passionate (see above...::sheepish grin::)
    2. I'm really smart (I'm not trying to be conceited...)
    3. When I love, I love deeply. Those who I love know that no matter what happens, I will be there for them and do anything for them.
    4. I have a huge imagination!
    5. I have a sense of humor that people enjoy.

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
    1. I'm not patient. At all.
    2. I procrastinate (I should be writing an english paper right now...)
    3. I can be too much of a perfectionist sometimes.
    4. I come off as overopinionated.
    5. I shut off from the world when I'm angry... you don't want to be anywhere near me. It's a bad, bad thing.

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:
    • Courage: Is beyond bravery. Defies inner fear and allows you to carry yourself through your problem, even when bravery itself wouldn't have been enough.
    • Loyalty: The ability to stick by something (person, movement, cause) that you believe in, even when it's unpopular.
    • Intelligence: Beyond being booksmart. Includes street smarts, life experiences, wit and wisdom along with knowledge.
    • Ambition: The drive to carry something to its end, employing whatever means necessary

  • Name: Sandra

  • What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.)
  • Where did you find out about us? I typed Harry Potter as an interest into the search engine. Somehow found my way here...
