If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? I'd make people more tolerant, especially when it comes to other people's religious beliefs. It seems like 80% of the wars that have been fought were over religion, and the other 20% were over racial issues. People are too quick to judge without knowing somebody, and let first impressions and stereotypes decide their outlook on others.

What makes a person respectable?
This is hard to set down exact guidelines for because I think when one is looking to respect someone, they'll respect someone who's attitude towards things they most agree with. Some find kindness towards others respectable, and there are those who find that bullying others around commands respect. I once heard that you can measure a man's worth by how they treat those beneath them. I find this quality most decides whether I respect someone or not. I also look up to people that fight for who / what they love, and aren't embarrassed to admit it.

What do you look for in a friend?
Someone who is honest, loyal, shares the same basic beliefs as I do (tolerance = good, hating someone because of their sexual preference = bad, etc) and spontaneous. And similar music taste wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your hobbies?
I love going to concerts -- being in the crowd, smooshed up against the barrier while my favourite band is less than ten feet away from me, singing a song I've loved for years. I also like photography, making LiveJournal icons, and turning t-shirts into tote bags. I take roadtrips as often as I can, and love writing drabbles, though I don't get inspired often.

Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
My job is very big into charity drives, especially for the American Diabetes Association. I just sponsored one of my managers in the bowl-a-thon, and in the past I've participated in some of the drives as well (the bowl-a-thon, the carwash, etc). We also ask every customer to buy a paper star for a dollar, with the proceeds going to the United Way, etc.

What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
Be successful in my chosen career path (I've always wanted to be a tour manager). And what I mean by successful is that I wouldn't mind owning a record label or two. ;)

Who is your role model?
Honestly, I don't have one. I've always thought I should do what I think is right, and what's right varies from situation to situation. I think the choices you are given in life are too grey for you to always try and follow what someone else decided fit the situation.

What trait most annoys you about other people?
Rudeness and being inconsiderate -- people who drive really slow in the passing lane, or are rude to retail employees, or don't let you into their lane when yours is ending, or treat you like dirt because you have an accent not like theirs.

What do you want to do for a living?
Ever since I was little, I've wanted to be a tour manager -- manage musical acts while they're on the road. I want to graduate with a degree in music business and go on to work for a prestigious record company (if there are any left by the time I graduate :p).

If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
Get them to safety, and, if they are injured and it's something I can't cure, to a place where they can get treatment. Then I'd find who/whatever hurt my friend and do to them what they did to my friend. Whether I had to hunt them down later or I did it right then depends on how seriously my friend's hurt.

Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
If someone was trying to kill my friends or family, yes. Though I'd try at least one other hex that wouldn't send me to Azkaban before resorting to Unforgiveables. ;)

What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
- I'm good at distracting people when they're really down. Even if I have to do something stupid and embarrassing to make them laugh, if I like 'em enough, I'll do it.
- I'm independent. I don't expect help from people, and I like to do things myself.
- I'm good at thinking fast in tough situations. I can make decisions quickly with little information to go on, and things usually turn out all right.
- I'm stubborn. Which can be bad on occasion, but is by far good. I stick by what I believe, and though I try and understand the viewpoint of the other side, I don't let peer pressure influence me.
- I'm resourceful. Money's usually pretty tight with me, and I always find a way to pay off what I need to pay off, and still have a bit left over to have fun with.

What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
- I can procrastinate like there's no tomorrow. Paper due at noon, and it's three am? Ehh, I've got nine hours! Let's watch a movie!
- I'm pretty cynical. It takes a lot to get me to trust someone, and the moment you break that trust, things between us are pretty much done.
- I'm very sarcastic. Which normally I enjoy, but there are some people that don't take sarcasm well, and I can't seem to switch it off.
- I can sometimes be too frivolous. If my bank account says I have $30, and I need gas, but my friend suggests going out for pizza and a movie, I'll go.
- I tend to jump to conclusions in bad situations, and even if people have proven themselves trustworthy, I'll still doubt them.

Define in your own words the following key traits:

Courage: Standing up for your beliefs and fighting for what you think is right, even if you're the only one not going with the flow.

Loyalty: Sticking by your friends and family, not only when they're in great need of it, but also when their need isn't so high. Being able to accept that they're just human and you won't always agree on anything, but not letting that get in the way of your friendship.

Intelligence: Not only being generally knowledgeable about things in a book, but also having street smarts and knowing how to interact well with society.

Ambition: Having the drive to get yourself to where you want to be, and not letting anybody or anything derail you.

Name: Erin

Age: 20.

What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? Ravenclaw. I'm not one of those who likes learning because I'm curious about everything under the sun, I really only like diving into a subject if it's one I'm interested in. If it's something that doesn't catch my fancy, I can barely pay attention to save my life. I love Ravenclaw and think it's a noble house, but I don't think my thirst of knowledge is as great as theirs. But hey, if you think otherwise, sort me there. I'm open.

Where did you find out about us? prettyveela.
