Alright, Nancy wanted to see more of my work that I've done for school and, well, I like to show off, so here's all the interesting stuff I've done so far this semester!

tons and tons of logowork, typography, design, and a few animations under the cut! )

logos, classes, animation, video, typography, pictures, school, design, work, corporate id

Eeee, so pretty! Ok so:

1. I LOVE your corporate IDs. The block with the slanted M inside is definitely my favorite piece out of everything here---it's so simple, but it says a lot too. Out of curiosity, what was the reasoning behind the handwriting guidelines and the mouse? Do they relate to you personally?

2. Man, I totally didn't notice that Payless changed their logo...I agree--it's really lame looking now. I actually prefer the old version more than the new version---the new one is so blah, bland and typical now. I like your version better.

3. lol, the bottom two flames with the white caps remind me of fox tails. I kind of like the cursive bold Whiteface though for some reason. It looks cool...

4. <3 the undersea type stuff. So cute, as are the paraphrase marks! :D

5. Second favorite thing = animations. Those are just insanely awesome.

6. And yeah, the typography stuff is pretty awesome too.

...So do graphic designers do reels?

I love these. You did a really good job. I think your Payless logo is *much* better than the one the store uses.

Thanks!!! I like to think my Payless logo is better too! I feel like I was able to make some of the changes they wanted (sans-serif font, emphasize the word "payless," make it generally more modern) and still hold on to the most distinguishing features of the original (the color and the circle shape).

As a lit major, I highly approve of your punctuation mark. If it existed, I'd use it all the time. Good work!

Oh yay, awesome! My brother thought that it wasn't very useful because if you were paraphrasing you wouldn't use any kind of mark, but I think there's something inbetween using somebody else's words and saying the same thing in your own words. It'd be so much easier to have paraphrase marks rather than constantly writing "something along the lines of" or "or words to that effect."
