My brother has not been to our house in about two years, by my reckoning. Maybe more. I invited him to dinner tonight, and I insisted on cooking it rather than have him treat us to dinner out. Blood families are not nearly as durable as logical families, particularly as we get older. I mean, besides a little DNA, what do we really have in common? That we ate Dad's lumpy oatmeal around the same table fifty years ago?

Re: keeping it public, my brother is extremely unsavvy when it comes to computers and the like. It would be absolutely astonishing if he were to try to find my LJ journal, let alone succeed.
He doesn't even like to correspond via email, and he screens ALL his phonecalls. A bit/lot paranoid.
Also, I am emailing him with some thoughts/reflections on yesterday. So he's going to know much of what I'm thinking, regardless.
