I tried seeds from a new company whose stuff we carry at work: High Mowing Seeds. Organic. I got some lettuce seeds, planted them. Lettuce typically takes 3 to 5 days. These: eighteen hours, for Pete's sake, and they were starting up just beautifully. I can grow them up into baby lettuces in our cellar, long before it's time to do anything in

Yay for the seeds. We also have seeds, but the back yard will have to be bushhogged and turned over before we can use them. Ah the joys of country living.
