interesting mystery series

When I read a mystery series that is new to me I tend to read the whole series in rapid order, except I often stop before reading the most recent title. Once the next book or two in the series are published I read those titles in a batch. With a good series I find it more satisfying to read them in clusters, instead of spaced out with one book ( Read more... )

Oh! I don't generally read mysteries, but I'm in the middle of Lock In by John Scalzi, which is a SF mystery set in the near future. In case you were short on books to request from the library. :)

It's unlike anything else he's written, since much of the rest of his work is more hard SF (far future, new planets, aliens, etc). I haven't come across anything of his that I didn't like, but your love of mysteries makes me think that maybe this will be a good entry point.
