It seems a portion of the crew has gone recently missing.

Is anyone in the bowling alley? While it's possible they may be stuck there, I find it curious that such a large group should disappear all at once.

It has no set location; occasionally, it appears when one opens a door.

That does not tell me what it is exactly.

A source of human entertainment. One rolls a large ball at a set of ten pins from a distance, in the attempt to knock them down for points.

Is there a crew manifest?

I would ask Mister Roberts - but he has gone missing as well.

Would it be out of line to ask permission to infiltrate the rooms of those that seem to be missing, to verify their absence?

I believe after twenty-four hours, that would be acceptable.

I don't think they're here anymore at all.

Are you certain?

Pretty much, yeah.

Then it seems several responsibilities need to be assigned.

People are going ... missing?

Does this mean that the Time Agency is messing with us again or does this mean that we should be keeping an eye open at night for the big creepie-crawly that's snatching us from our beds?

The likelihood of a monster on board is low. [Except for that one time that a dinosaur got on board, but they don't talk about that.] People have disappeared before; some return, but the ratio is not high.

So what you're saying is we have no damn clue why people are disappearing, and we can only hope they're off to some Better Place.

I'm gonna add this to my ever-growing list of reasons why I sleep with Winona next to my bed.

[Hmm. That's a colorful way of putting it.] Yes.

[Annnnd she is so raising her eyebrow at her cell phone.] Winona?

I feel quite certain that these persons are no longer aboard. There are very few places on this ship that can keep out an evaporating cat, and those there are won't admit anything human-sized. If they're still here, they're doing a fine job of hiding it.

Far more likely they were sent home.

So why? Random chance? Regular rotation, the pattern of which we have not yet discerned? Dissatisfaction with their performance as crew? Something outright sinister?

Any of those are possible explanations, though perhaps we will be better rewarded by trying to contact the Time Agency, instead of simply guessing.

And how are we to do that, exactly?

They've been quite firm in controlling the flow of information to us - which is to say, no one received any information except for Westley, and even he lacked the means to contact them, and could only receive.

I believe Captain Harkness is privy to their contact; though it is possible they will tell him nothing.
