I've spent this week cleaning out the office and trying to get ready for the upcoming term. Cleaning has been hysterical because I've been in the office (with the door open) blasting music and cleaning. There is a sign on my bulletin board that says "NO office hours until Wednesday, 25 August." and a little (Canadian?) stop sign at the bottom. So

And this movie sounds awesome, although I don't think I'm hipster enough to understand the secret language of clothes and songs.
Wearing leggings and a miniskirt says something completely different from wearing jeans and a t-shirt with "SHIRT." written on it. - It does? I'm too clueless, you have to educate meeeeeeeee!

Thanks for the encouragement. I hope it works as a movie even if one doesn't get all the accoutrements. That's why my best friend reads everything before I do anything with it.
Leggings and miniskirt indicates that you put some thought into your clothing choice. So if you wear that to a date, you're trying to play it cool, but you've put some thought into what you're wearing. The t-shirt is ironic and shows that you have a sense of humour. An odd, ironic, kinda wry sense of humour. It's all kind of pretentious; and it's sad that I put that much thought into it.

The best definition of hipster I've ever heard was, "We're like modern hippies. But with more pretension." Wikipedia also has an article: here. And this webcomic is written by a hipster about hipsters for hipster if you want to see them in their natural habitat.
I do not understand people's obsession with Pabst Blue Ribbon. It is a crappy, crappy beer.
