Don't worry, next week is Doctor-lite, aka 'Love and Monsters' so there probably won't be any dancing with Martha. I say 'probably' because it IS Moffat. Oh, the love/hate relationship I have there.

I AM CHOOSING TO BELIEVE THAT MARTHA GOT OVER HER CRUSH THIS WEEK. Especially since she was like: "I LOVE YOU." And then the Doctor was just like: "... bigger things to deal with at the moment! Must go enact revenge on the family of blood, muha!" And that's when Martha gets over her crush and just became his traveling companion. THAT IS WHAT I SAY.

Also, scarecrows. I agree that they're excellent. But it was pointed out to me that, um, fire?

You are so right. How do they GET some of these things so completely and yet drop the ball on other things? Nina, I think we need to become the editors. Especially because I would just be like: "Um, this script needs more mentions of Rose. I know it'll make some fans want to kill themselves, but that's part of the fun! Ha! Hahaha!"

I was extremely disturbed by the idea that the Doctor doesn't ( ... )

Oh, goody. Everybody knows "Love and Monsters" was such a roaring success.

(HAHAHAAHA, CHECK MY AMAZING SARCASM. :P )

Martha should definitely get over her crush. She would be so much cooler. And I would really love to agree with you, except there is going to be a new episode in a couple of hours and that will probably tarnish all my hopes. Siiiiiigh.

Nina, I think we need to become the editors.

I SAY THAT EVERY DAY. I'm always like, "I really like this show, Doctor Who. One day soon my friend Frances and I are going to become the head honchos and then the show will flourish as NEVER BEFORE. And we will make Billie Piper come back ( ... )

I can think of very little to add to this other than: YES I LOVE YOU! But in a way entirely devoid of sexual tension ;-)

You pretty much summed up many of my thoughts, if I was to comment on everything I agree on I'd go over the comment limit! Am definitely with you on the Ten love, though. (And yay for someone else missing Rose! And Romana!)

HURRAY! I LOVE YOU TOO! LOVE ALL AROUND! :DDDDDD

I was to comment on everything I agree on I'd go over the comment limit!

Hahahaha. I do that all the time. You get used to it. :P

Clearly the fact that you adore Ten, Rose, AND Romana makes you one of the most awesome Who fans ever. We should probably be friends.

There are entirely too few Rose and Romana fans around! They need more love!

Your review made me smile. I have to say. And because of this, I've decided to friend you.

Commenting on the comments: firstly, I totally agree with your bit about Reinette. My jaw dropped at the reference to her, and I was only soothed by the knowledge that he DREW Rose.

I think it would have been even better if they talked about Rose a little bit

Amen!

He came back. And not only did he come back, he came back with SPECS.

I got the biggest smile when he whipped those out. As much as I liked John Smith, and as much as I LOVED the angst, I was waiting impatiently for the Doctor to come back.

When he was the Doctor again and did horrible, dark things, did anybody else ... you know ... have an orgasm want to coddle him?Yes, and yes. More coddling when he was John Smith, however. When he was crying and being generally heartbreaking over "Arn't I a good man?" and whatnot, my hands were flailing. One can't hug through a computer screen ( ... )

Hurray! Thank you so much! You seem awesome and I'm very glad to meet you. :)

Plus, it makes me very happy to know that I made you smile. Series 3 is kind of turning me into a BASKETCASE. I hate seeing Ten this upset and not seeing Rose at all ... my coping strategy is watching old Four episodes.

I got the biggest smile when he whipped those out.

I KNOW! It was one of those rare moments when you could tell that the producers and writers and directors were like, "Ooooh, the fans are going to go totally ape when this happens," and WE DID. They SUCCEEDED PERFECTLY.

It was great, too, because my little sister called it the instant he stepped into their ship. She's like, "Yup, he's Ten again! Just wait!" :P

Oh, and ditto on the angst love. I mean, I hate all the Rose denial, but as far as angst and darkness goes, YES YES YES. :P

One can't hug through a computer screen.

And that's such a shame, really. Because I think Computer!Tennant and I could be very good together.

All the Rose hate makes me so very sad.Me, too. It' ( ... )

Sorry to pop in but I am glad that I got linked over. This had to be one the BEST recaps I have ever read (next to goldy_dollar's amazing pic spam recaps, of course).

I pretty much agree with everyone of your points and I have to add that I really, really tried so hard to love Martha. I know that I would like her so much more if she could get over this crush and not expect that much from him. Enjoy the company, enjoy the amazingness of each and every experience that you have with him, but for the love of God, get over your crush. She's smart, and I imagine, so sassy. I wish they would show more of that!

HURRAY. :DDDDD I'm so flattered that you liked it that much and I'm really glad you got linked over, too! *hugs you* (And yeah, goldy-dollar is really a great woman of our time.)

She's smart, and I imagine, so sassy.

YES YES YES. It's astonishing to me how they don't seem to get what I think are the best parts of her character, or at least what could be -- it makes her so much less powerful when she just follows Ten around and denies everything amazing that she does on her own. It could really be a completely different show.

I realize it's kind of unrealistic to expect that you wouldn't fall in love with the Doctor, but ... you know, it could even be better if she at least tried to hide it, or if she realized herself how ridiculous it is. I've fancied people a lot of times and had to force myself to get over it, and I think that's a more interesting and independent story than the one they're telling now.
