So I know I'm behind on my episode recaps, but "42" hit right in the middle of finals, and all I want to say right now about "Human Nature" is THANK YOU, PAUL CORNELL, FOR BEING THE FIRST WRITER THIS YEAR NOT TO DISAPPOINT ME.
Anyway, I've just finished transcribing "Gridlock" for
allthat-hopping, and I've got a few (
scattered, random thoughts - SPOILERS for 'Gridlock' AND casting spoilers for / vague references to the Dalek two-parter, 'Human Nature,' and the last three episodes! )

And I've been missing your recaps, so you know, I hope they come back. I'm so angry finals stole you away last week.
Yeah. I mean, how is it not Jack Harkness?
I don't know. I still kind of want it to be the Master because I'm a little twisted. Especially if the Master is actually some future version of the Doctor. OMG. HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?!
What is lame is the big Gallifrey speech at the end. No one talks like that. And David pulled it off mightily well, making me want to cry and everything, but seriously ... I could have written a better Reminiscing Thing.
I agree SO MUCH. That scene was terrible. And the speech was so lame, I was wincing at all the emotion David Tennant was putting behind it. Bah. I think they did a MUCH better job with the Time War in The End of the World. Because then you had the Doctor SHOWING Rose what it was like to lose your home planet.
It's things like Tennant's ability to make that face -- and his performance in Secret Smile -- that make me really, really ( ... )
