oh yah, i had forgotten to tell you what happened. i forgot my phone at my house when i left for matt's place that friday, so i didn't have it with me all weekend. i didn't even realize it until my mom told me she saw it on sunday on me bed. heh. oops... so yah, that wasn't my fault! :P

Im not doing so well so Im just looking for support in everyone. I was wondering how you were doing wiht it? How often do you guys get to talk? Is he all settled in? Ive only gotten to talk to mine one time. Im so sorry for all the questions.. Im just trying to get as much help as I can with people going through the EXACT same thing as me. hey there, yah adding me is fine. :)

well, the first coupla weeks are tough. matt only got to call me from a pay phone one time, and it was really hard not to be able to keep tabs on him. but he moved in with his sponsor, and his sponsor has one of those vonage broadband phones. so, he has a US number that you can call without having to deal with long distance. if your boyfriend doesn't know about it already, you should definitely tell him to get one! the site is vonage.com. i have a phone from lingo.com, which is the same exact thing, just a different company. i'm not sure if the lingo one works in korea, but i'll find out when i go over there. they're really cheap and work just like a regular phone, you just have to have cable internet for it.

anyways... it took him a few weeks to get settled in, so i wouldn't expect to hear from him too much until then. the in-processing took forever. and it was a pain, because it took him forever to even get a mailbox, and i had stuff to send! it sucked

yah, i can't wait to go over there... the tickets are gonna be over a thousand, but matt said that he doesn't mind spending the money as long as he gets to see me. :)

and the phone isn't a cell phone, it's just an addition to a normal telephone. when you order your start-up kit, it comes with a cable modem-lookin thing that you plug into your actual cable modem, and then you plug your phone into it. it doesn't actually come with the phone, you just have to use a regular one. but it works fine. and it has really low international rates, korea is only 6 cents a minute. but you can get a phone number with the area code from wherever you want. so, he could have the phone in korea, but i have a local number for wherever you are in the US. it sounds complicated, but it's easy. just check out the sites, they explain it better than i do. haha...

hey hey... i was perusing the UA lj comm and saw your little post, so i clicked away and was quite surprised. you seem like an awesome chik. :) i'm also an english major (will be women's studies minor), transferring to UA in jan. i'm in enterprise (bleh.) for the time-being. so yah.. just thought i'd say ello and whatnot. :)

I was just wondering how your year went and what not and if you wanted me to put me on my friends list so you could see if i was still interesting lol.

oh, ello. hehe...

well, a lot has changed since i wrote that. haha... first i put off going to UA until summer, and then i decided to go to montevallo instead, and then i changed my mind again and decided to go to UA.... and now i'm moving to korea. hahaha... my fiancé (soon-to-be-husband if i do move over there) is in the army and is stationed in korea, so i'm going to visit him for a test run this month. if i decide that i could live there (which i'm pretty sure i'll love it), then we're going to go ahead and get married and i'm moving over there. so plans have changed a bit. haha...

but if for some reason i don't move over there, then i'm going to UA in the fall. for sure this time. haha... are you still going there?

and yah, it's still fine for you to add me to your list. :) i'll go ahead and add you, too.
