Head trauma...of sorts

I thought I might make a wee record of this, just to remind me next time I decide to do my hair. Does anyone else ever feel even slightly intimidated by their hairdresser????? I honestly don't know why, but I never seem to be too comfortable in a salon, and my main thought is just to get my hair done and get out again. There is also the fact that ( Read more... )

I can sympathise.

Being a 'curly girl' very few hairdressers know what to do with my hair. Recently I had it cut and the hairdresser cut just a bit too much off. When it's wet and straight it's long but the minute it dries *bang* I've lost 2 inches.

As you say though 'a chance to die'.

"..gotta love them. else u'll kill them all."

Indeed,...,indeed. Thankfully my current hairdresser is actually the first one that I have stuck with for this long...bless her :-)

It ain't easy to find a hairdresser you trust. I had one in Honolulu whom I trusted to try and bleach my hair white (the closest we could get Dixie-Chick-blonde). But I had my hair butchered all over the metropolitan DC area.

I finally found a stylist just a few blocks from my house that I liked, but my ears were always in danger because he made me laugh so hard while he was cutting my hair. Just before I left that part of the country, I found out he was really nasty to the Latinas that worked there, including the mother of one of my honor students.

It's about time I got my hair cut again, but I have no plans to fly to Honolulu [sigh].
