Apparently alligator is tough and tasteless.

From some random site on the internet "Alligator meat tastes somewhere between chicken and rabbit, with perhaps a hint of frog legs." I've never had rabbit or frog legs because they sound pretty gross, but who doesn't love chicken? It doesn't really matter what it tastes like, what matters is that I will be able to tell people that I killed (that part will be a lie) and ate an alligator.
