I really like this girl, and she likes me back. We've been intimate before. But now, she keeps getting in and out of this same relationship where the guy is so insecure that he feels the need to accuse her of doing things behind his back every time she goes anywhere. He is controlling and says horrible things to her. He's broken up with her twice for getting drunk.(!). It's not a good scene, but she keeps going back to it. We hung out the other night, and he accused her, through texts, of lying about where she was going and had already made her feel like shit before we even got to where we were going. I just wish she'd stop getting into these situations, and be with someone who will give her the respect she deserves.

Sounds like you really wanna be with this chick. Hmmm...to be honest (please excuse my typing mistakes: I am pretty ill at the moment) it sounds like she is emotionally attached to the guy. She will keep going back to him until she manages to sever her attachment to him. She probably knows he is no good, but feelings often get in the way. The best thing you can do as her friend (at the moment) is try and support what she wants. You know you can't do the groundwork for her in this situation. I know it's frustrating but she needs to cut her feelings for him herself if that's what she wants. All you can do is be there for her.
