Oh, Mark, I'm so sorry that you're feeling that way. I still attest that your artwork is incredible, and I'm sad to see you so frustrated about it. I think you've made amazing progress, but I know that artists are often our own worst enemy. I can understand your frustration about having to work to afford school, but then not having enough time/energy to thrive in school. That doesn't seem like a fair situation.

I think therapy is a good idea if you can arrange it and find the right therapist. It sounds like you may be suffering from some cognitive distortions, and a therapist might be able to help you unravel and work on some of those. It's the worst struggling with the constant feeling of failure, and I'm concerned about your depression, as it sounds like you're suffering terribly.

I just want to see you feeling happy and content with where you are and what you're doing. You are an incredibly hard-working, dedicated, honest person, and you deserve to be happy. Good thoughts, man. Wish I could do more. :(

Agreeing with what's been said- you are hard-working and deserve all the best in life, and the world is often unfair to those kinds of people. If you can find a therapist, that'd be best- they might be able to help you in more ways than you expect.

I'll definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and sending every good vibe I have your way. Keep your chin up, and keep working- I have faith you'll make it.

While I haven't been as allergic to luck in my life as you seem to be, rock bottom is a terrible, terrible place. I'm sure, for my part, if I wouldn't have had a job so liberal about sick days as my previous one was, I would have been fired ( ... )

I echo what others have said. I know government and insurance hoops are terrible things to deal with, but if it allows you to get help and move forward positively (whatever form that takes) it will be worth it.

I don't think anyone can question your dedication to your art and your desire to make it work. And I helieve you can make it work. I have seen you and your art advance and grow so much the last decade and change!

Part of me wonders if you shouldn't just take your portfolio and start throwing it out there because most of us will never reach a point where we feel we are "good enough" and that is part of what allows you to continue to progress in your art and will keep you ahead of those who kick back and try to coast.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic and don't understand the industry and exactly what you want to do, but the amount of tenacity and grit you've shown thusfar speak volumes and I do sincerely believe in your ability to do this.

Let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you. We're all pulling for you
