To be frank... The way you overcome it is in the knowledge that if you don't give 100% now, you will inevitably regret it. I didn't give 100% in school/college/uni, and now not only do I have the constant feelings on inadequacy and fear of failure that holds me back from even trying, but I feel like it's too late now, that I've missed my window of opportunity, and wonder how much further along I could be if I'd really given it my all. The most frustrating thing is seeing people who I know (even despite my feelings of inadequacy) are less talented than me, sometimes significantly so, and yet they are successful. You have done remarkable things and you are so close to doing much more because of your determination. You have it in you. It's keeping your focus where your goal is and shoving aside those doubtful thoughts ( ... )
