Gol Stavkirke, Oslo, Norway

The Stave Churches of Norway are fascinating survivors. The Gol Stavkirke originally came from Gol city, Hallingdal, Norway, but it was rescued from destruction and moved to the Norsk Folkemuseum near Oslo. It is dendrochronologically dated to 1212 with the restoration completed by 1885.
