Hello comm!! It's been...such a long time...again! I think the last time I made update posts was back in Feb 2021 although I did a little delayed mail post in June 2022 but my oh my the last few years have hit me hard, alongside other things! I had to save up for a house so collecting in general had to take a big step back and although I can't go ( Read more... )

Yay, welcome back! I missed seeing Soi's collection updates.

Those My151 shikishi boards are pretty. As someone who is used to liking Pokemon significantly more than those in my real life circles, I enjoyed reading the story about your friend/boss gifting you these Japanese goods!

Collecting has certainly become interesting since the pandemic, especially for items of limited quantity. Congrats on snagging the Daisuki Club Lugia clock! The size of the hands are so tiny.

Gen 3 is technically considered "vintage" now, so I too have observed record sales of certain items from this era, including your beloved Eon Pokemon. I am very fortunate no one seems to get excited about Grovyle as much as I do, yet the Poke Doll charm set is one that I continue to struggle with!

The 7-Eleven Lugia stamp is one of my favorite items you shared today. For a while, I extensively researched the various stamp rallies hosted by JR East and West over the years. Both 2004 and 2005 East had a Grovyle station according to the pamphlet maps I own, so I continue ( ... )

I've always had fun writing these posts! x3

I was really surprised when I found out! Her daughters as well are all animation mad as well but they don't work there unfortunately XD! Yeah though thankfully I am seeing a decline in things recently so I'm glad its hopefully going back to normality...until the next thing! I will keep my eye out for the Grovyle charm, I know you have been after that for so long...! The things that can just elude you for so long...

Ooo I wouldn't be surprised if Grovyle had a stamp from 7-11! Anything with ink stamped must have one!

Oof digimon, I'm seeing some TCG cards on market/release being very expensive even right now theres an Impmon and Renamon I'm looking at like....omg how are you already expensive xD but I guess limited amounts make sense! I'm still looking for a handful of merch from the many events in 2020-2021 as well x3! I bought so many of these jelly gum boxes and I got everyone but Renamon RIP. XD

Heheh you may! Although not a bad time to come to the UK now it has its own UK center, still ( ... )

Wow, what a big and exciting update! There's so much to see here.

That Alolan Ninetales necklace is beautiful. I'm a huge fan of video game franchise jewelry; it's too bad the pre-order window was so tiny! But very fortunate that you managed to find the one you wanted after they were sold.
The Lati movie stamp is so cool. I love niche little pieces like that which weren't really sold; but people squirreled away or kept. Very neat history behind them!

As far as the Lugia/Shadow Lugia pin...I went to one Rocks America stop (Boston) and the party of the decade in NYC. I don't recall ever seeing it at either location. The art also looks really off-model, which while there was still some of that around that time period, wasn't nearly as common as more stock Sugimori/anime art. I would lean towards it being bootleg/fanmade. I also don't recognize the symbol in the center from any other Pokemon media piece. It's still a neat find regardless, especially since Shadow Lugia doesn't get much merch or acknowledgement at all.

The comfy friends line ( ... )

Thank you!! Argh I know right? Why was the pre-order window so short?! Suppose its set up for you to make a quick decision but I don't think people could for the price of them, even if the necklace is very pretty!

Very good points about the pin! I haven't seen anything like that symbol in the middle either, I wonder if someone just made them and sold them there? Or maybe something before 2005... just another mystery! I would agree with you that it's leaning to more a bootleg or custom like thing. I wish Shadow Lugia got a bit more love in the merchandise department!

I was so amazed at how soft the comfy plush is! I think I have a Jolteon coming to me as well so I'm pretty excited to see what hes like as well and I'm hoping one of my main collections gets a chance at that line before they poof for good! I didn't realise how soft he'd be but I'm glad to have bough him on the PC center back then ;;!

Yesss makes me wonder what else is out there we don't know about, I do love old merch of the mons I collect! x3

Thank you!! Still needs a ( ... )

WOW this was such an incredible update!! First off, congrats on all of the amazing gets you've gotten over the past few years! :D

Your story about your holy grail banner was quite a roller coaster and I'm so glad you were finally able to add it to your collection!! Losing so many opportunities to add a grail to a collection really sucks and can be demotivating for collecting as a whole. But you overcame everything and now have a beautiful banner to display!! The art style is so cool and emblematic of the time.

Some of my other favorite things in this post are your HGSS Lugia clock and your stamp rally stamps! The clock is absolutely gorgeous and I love how light reflects off of it! It's so cool that you have something so limited in your collection!! And the stamp rally stamps are super unique and fun! It's so cool that you have these physical pieces of Pokemon history from the time of exciting releases. Seeing yours inspires me to try to find some for Pokemon I collect too! :D

Congrats again, and thanks for taking the time to make ( ... )

It's probably been at least 3 years since I've been truly active on here, so excuse me for such a late acknowledgement of your post, but this was so nice to see! A lot of my favorites happen to be yours as well, so it's always fun to see what treasures you can find especially for the Latis. (^^) Warmest congrats on all your grail finds! My favorites would have to be the Lati theater stamp and the Hiroshima badges now being a resident of the prefecture myself. I've pretty much stopped collecting (though I can never escape Pokemon since my daughter is now a fan), but I hope to see more of your updated collection for a long time!
