I wonder if other rumored V-Trainers could be some of these instead.... particularly, Flareon, Jolteon, Lugia, Donphan and a few others.
Afaik the ones on the back are the only ones made, but it's very hard to find any information on them. I came across this pack years back on yahoo JPN looking for Houndour. I'm aware some of the V-trainer ones were never released (like Raikou, which is a long-time grail of mine ;-;).
Some are rumored (Lugiaand Flareon for example) with no clear evidence if they exist or not, but yea Raikou is on the rarer end. I've got mine, I'll keep my eyes open for you. Appreciate all the info friend
The photos @yoshineko33 provided translate to "Pokemon Chatty Town."
Calling them V-Trainer would be inaccurate, since those are by Hasbro and Chatty Town are by TOMY, though they both seem to operate in similar fashion.
I found a video on YouTube demonstrating how Chatty Town figures can be used with the playset:
