Hello!

I'm back! My name is Ray/Rachel and my primary collection is alolan vulpix, lifesize pokemon, sleeping pokemon and shiny pokemon merch. I don't tend to post but I do like to lurk around. I recently got some mini grails in my box and I wanted to double check the authenticity of it.

Congrats on getting some mini grails!
As for the gyarados, he looks pretty good from the pictures. Mine is currently boxed up right now, so I can't directly compare, but yours looks basically identical to mine. Probably more important than looks is the poseability - is yours poseable? It should feel like it has a string/series of stiff ball joints down the length of the body. If he was shipped from a seller actually in Japan then I would say he's probably legit.

It does have the stiff ball joints /nodular stick down the length of the body. It creaks when I bend it. I assume it is legit? The seller also had other legit merchandise and was in Japan .

Gyarados looks legit!! Generally their tags are the ultimate determining factor w plush? But i mean he looks real nuff to me

Thanks! And yeah, the bootlegs tend to have the most obvious flaws in the tags. It made me a bit nervous since I had to wait two months for shipping but I ended up finding a lot of good deals on some of the smaller but more rare things I needed for my collection.

So I have the bootleg Gyarados and I think yours is real! Bootleg Gyarados is a richer red, has more evenly stitched horns and mouth, and has a slightly flatter mouth. But the key giveaway is the tail, as the edge of bootleg gyarados’s tail fin is flat instead of wavy.

Oh! That's good to know. I knew the colors were and indicator but I never realized that the bootleg gyarados had a different tail fin! I was trying to use the eye and mouth stitching as an indicator but it was kind of hard to see in the photo listing.

Nice gets, shinny versions are always a win :) Nice snow Miku stuff too, I love Vocaloid but I prefer the Kagamine twins.
