I haven't showed off my gets in months! Since my last gets post, I even got my own apartment, so now I can show off my merchandise in all its glory!
I'm also going to Japan at the end of the month for the first time ever! So I have some Poké-questions for y'all at the end of my post!
But first, the photos!

It's pretty old by now, and I don't know if it's really what you mean by "food themed", but there was a Pokemon Center promotion back innnn 2000/2001 or so?? called Pokemon Cooking Club, featuring some very cute artwork of Pokemon, well, cooking. :V It seems like the merch has become pretty rare, similar to other old PC promotions, but I figured I'd mention it. Good luck on your search, and hope you have a great time in Japan!

Ohhhh, thank you for the info! Any merch involving Pokemon and food (whether it's Pokemon cooking, or merch featuring Pokemon as food, or kitchen utensils featuring Pokemon) are all exciting to me! The Google photos from this Pokemon Cooking Club promotion look so cute! Thank you for telling me about it, and thank you for all of your lovely comments! <3

I believe there was a Pikachu with ketchup gashapon series by Re-Ment, maybe that would fit in well with the rest of your foodie items!

Yes, the ketchup Pikachu are so cute! The Re-Ment collections are SO dangerous, hehe!

These are stationary kind of items (such as notebooks, clear files or pencil cases) but are super cute!

At the moment, no announcements have been made for up-coming Pokemon themed cafes.
What are some good shops to hunt for Pokemon merchandise? I'm looking for old plush, figures, and zukan, as well as the Pokemon food merchandise mentioned above. I'll be in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, among others.
There are various resale stores in Akihabara. Go out the Electric Town exit -> Radio Kaikan is near the station and has a bunch of small stores inside on various floors with different stuff, Box Akihabara (next door to Radio Kaikan), Akiba Cultures Zone (a few minutes away from the station, on the same street as Kotobukiya). There are more resale stores in Akihabara, just wander around and find them. I also recommend Nakano Broadway (both Akihabara and Nakano are in Tokyo).
Will Pokemon Halloween merchandise still be available in Pokemon Centers by the end of the month?
The Halloween stuff is basically gone at this point.
I would love to hear ( ... )

I would absolutely love to meet up while you're in town! My partner and I will be in Tokyo at the beginning and end of our trip, so we can definitely figure something out! Maybe I can message you privately if that's okay? What's your preferred method of contact (LJ PM, e-mail, Tumblr)?
