Thanks so much for linking me to pictures of your Vaporeon pokedoll! I was hoping someone would have pictures of their own so I could compare. Looks like mine is definitely a bootleg ;-; Congrats on owning a Vaporeon pokedoll! She seems to always be so expensive haha :P She's the last Eeveelution pokedoll I need. Hopefully I can find one someday! <3

Yeah ;-; from the color and the fin on her back, I believe she might be a bootleg...
She is expensive and so hard to find ;-; she was also my last eeveelution pokedoll I needed to complete my set!

We both have bootie Vaporeon pokedolls! Owners unite!
I knew she was bootie when I got her on the comm, she was being sold as one. I wanted to give her a good home.
Not every plushie can help where they're born, in an official factory or a copycat one. But when sold secondhand, such as on the comm here, they need a good home and a lot of love.
That's why my bootie Vaporeon pokedoll and my bootie Nidorino Tomy will always be a part of my collections :)

Haha well I don't collect bootleg items, but if I were to buy one, I'd want to know it was one and pay a lower price. You know what I mean? :) I have a few bootleg Pokemon figures I bought when I was younger because I didn't know about bootlegs back then. I've held onto them because they have good memories attached to them :) One of the bootie figures I have is a Nidorino TOMY too :P

That's true! I hope you didn't pay too much for yours :( I see some obvious bootlegs with high pricetags (Tomy at least), so I understand the frustration. Unscrupulous sellers try to throw off the buyer with a higher price tag.
The real Nidorino Tomy is so nice. Almost identical to the bootie, but the colors and details are much more vibrant and crisp.

Well thankfully the seller was nice and refunded me the full amount :) Yeah, I too have seen some obvious bootlegs with high pricetags ;-; It's unfortunate. Although in the case with this Vaporeon, the seller didn't know it was a bootleg. Sometimes it's hard to tell because some bootlegs actually look pretty real until you look at them close up and in person.
Aww I'd love to get a real Nidorino Tomy someday! <3 He looks pretty awesome!

Congrats on the Poketime plush! I also got a Bulbasaur Pokemon Time plush a few months ago, and he is fabulous! (Mine was mint with tag... which is a bit of a waste because I don't care about tags, but oh well.) If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for yours? I probably spent more than I should have on mine because I was tired of searching for one.

Thanks so much <3 Mine is mint with tag too and I, like you, don't care about tags either XD I'm pretty sure the auction ended at 15,000 yen ;-; I never wanted to spend that much, but I got in a bid war and just wanted it so much...so I went for it. I was also tired of searching for one and just really wanted to add it to my Bulbasaur collection. Even though it was an insane amount of money, I'm really glad I finally have one.

15000 yen is pretty good price imo. I paid $350 for mine, and I've seen tagless ones go for $200+ on the comm. I probably could have gotten mine cheaper from YJ if I had waited, but I was sick of searching every day and waking up at 5 am to bid on auctions (only to lose them).

Oh wow, really? I didn't realize I had actually gotten a good deal :o It just seemed like so much for such a tiny little plush. But I guess it's because it's kind of rare and sought after now. I totally get you on not wanting to have to search every day for something on YJ. There are a couple of items I really want, but I gave up on searching for them every day. It takes so much time ;-;

Oh and I'm sorry I haven't gotten you a quote for the metal Bulbasaur yet. I have been super busy lately. I'm hoping to get that quote for you tomorrow :)
