The oily feeling happens particularly for certain older TOMYs because plastic is oil based, and throughout temperature changes the figure might go through over the years--whether in the box or out--will definitely cause some of the oil to err... materialize on the surface of the figure XD But yeah, as long as the figure itself is fine, it should be good to go with some cleaning off. No worries!

This happened to one of my figures too! Bought a MIP Slaking and when I took him out he was all oily! XD

This happened to me with a Manectric figure. I got it years ago MIP. I opened the box and there was "oil". I used google to find out what it was. I think it was temperature change :D If washed my figure with normal warm water and all was fine :3

We used to describe that as 'sweating'. And I dont think anyone figured out how to stop it!

Do you know if it keeps happening if it can damage the figure at all? Like sweat off the paint or something?
