Hey guys! The names Nathan but you can call me TiamatRuler, Tiamat, or anything else you might come up with based on my username. Please don't call me Nate, though, as I really dislike it. This is pretty much the introduction post I have on my own live journal page with a bit more added to it.

Hi Nathan! I'm a big fan of Cyndaquil myself. Unlike you I feel like my interest in the games peaked right before X and Y, with Black and White being the last games I really got into. Heart Gold and Soul Silver were essentially godsends to me. I had both and soft reset the game for what felt like forever to get shiny Cyndaquil, and I definitely agree with you on the color differences. At least Typhlosion looks cool in purple! ^^

Good luck with all of your collecting! I personally only own one Cyndaquil thing and it's the 1:1 plush, hehe! :D Just got him a few weeks ago, actually. :')

Yay, Cyndaquil!! :D I definitely would have played Heart Gold and Soul Silver when they were released at the time but, as I explained, I wasn't really allowed to...couldn't even get a DS. ;-; Second generation is my favorite, though, so I've definitely played HG/SS since I started up again. I still prefer the purple flames on Typhlosion myself. Although, I don't know how they would have done it in 6th gen since the flames aren't out in the game for any of them. xD

Wooh welcome to the community!! I have a small Tyrunt/Tyrantrum collection myself but my main focus is the Larvitar line<3 they are my babies but i do love me some dinosaurs!!

I adore the Larvitar line, as well. It's definitely among my top favorites but I have so much trouble listing anything after Tyrunt/Tyrantrum because I like them all about the same. To be honest, I see Tyranitar as pretty much a dinosaur/Godzilla thing anyway. xP

My tyranitar collection is pretty massive :P the line has always been my favorite by i absolutely loved the tyrunt line when they came out! i have all the plushies but no other items atm... been too focused on my larviline <3

I hope that one day, I'm able to say I have massive collections of my favorites. x3 I'm sad I missed out on the Pokemon Center Tyrunt Pokedoll. It was another one I was waiting until I had the extra money to buy and now it's sold out. ;-; And it looks like the Tyrunt/Tyrantrum charms are sold out now, too. I just looked at those on there the other day, darn it. xD Guess I'll have to get them from someone else at some point. I can definitely see why Larvitar and family are your favorite, though. :3

Hey there, Tiamat! Welcome to the community. It's a lot of fun here. Everyone is super nice and helpful. I'm sure you'll make some friends in no time. Be sure to check out the Free For All Friday post tomorrow I'd toy have the time. That's where we talk about non pokemon merchandise related stuff. Though Pokemon still comes up a lot haha.

Cyndaquil line is my favorite of all the starters and Quilava is pretty much my favorite Pokemon (tied with Umbreon).

As far as merchandise goes, I know there is a Cyndaquil Pokedoll, but there are a lot of bootlegs of it out there on eBay and Amazon so my suggestion is to find one on here. I saw the Secret Base Cyndaquil at Nintendo World when I was there the other day. I didn't get one but it is very nice. Also, I highly recommend the Cyndaquil line zukan.

Hi! :3 I've actually seen a lot about the Cyndaquil Pokedolls that are out there during my research, specifically the 10th anniversary one. I actually considered buying myself a plush from ebay a while back, but I'm glad I didn't now that I've seen all the stuff out there about the bootlegs of them. A legit one is definitely near the top of my wants.

Thank you so much for that link! :3 My goodness there is so much Cyndaquil stuff out there. xD It's going to take quite a while to even think about getting most of it. I'll just buy what I can when I can, though, and I'm sure it'll slowly build up.

Hey, welcome to the comm! Its great to find another Cyndaquil collector! Typhlosion is hands down my favourite pokemon, so of coure that means I have a soft spot for Cyndaquil/Quilava too.

I'd definitely recommend the Secret Base plush, I think it might even be my favourite Cynda plush I own (either that or the canvas plush).

I do love Quilava and Typhlosion as well but I'm not sure if I really want to add their stuff to my Cyndaquil collection. It's Cyndaquil specifically that is my favorite Pokemon and there's already so much merchandise out there for him alone for me to track down that adding his evolutions to the mix just makes that battle all the harder. xD I'm still not really decided on that point yet, as there are a ton of Quilava and Typhlosion merchandise that I really like as well. I guess I could always start with just Cyndaquil and then add them to it later on if I decide to
