Hello community. Today we're posting some very sad news, the beloved president of Nintendo has passed away. He was responsible for many games at Nintendo, including our wonderful Pokemon franchise. I've just been so completely speechless and sad about all of this. I can't even think of anything to really say or do. I just feel super upset.

I hope he rests in peace. I'll miss him in the Nintendo Directs.

It's very scary how quickly life can be taken from us and when we lose someone so great it really puts it into perspective that one day it could be us. Pokemon has brought me some of the very best friends I could have ever asked for, and for that I thank you Iwata.

He will be greatly missed by many... So many of the games I played growing up had his influence in them. I can't even think of a single one of my gaming friends who hasn't played at least one or two games he had a part in. I normally don't feel so sad about celebrity passings, but this hits close to home...

I'm honestly still in shocl right now. This doesn't feel real, y'know?

The franchises he put so much work into has made me so happy throughout the years. I've met so many awesome people from them. They helped me get close to a lot of people. I don't even know what to say anymore except for may he rest in peace.

Mr. Iwata was such an important man. I'm so grateful to have been able to experience his work. Gaming was forever changed by his talent. Truly a legend.
