Gets and a Discussion Question!
I guess January is a busy month for gets at my house! I thought that I had better go ahead and post what got here, because I didn't want to make one, super image heavy post at the end of the month, thin one is still a little image heavy though...
I'm not going to list the name of each thing, because I feel that might get a little long-winded, but, if you want to know what something is, just ask!
I'll start with the plush, since I still feel like I'm a plush collector overall!
My talking Vulpix from my first ever GA (that I ran) with dezchu is so cute! I haven't made it talk yet though... The book behind it Vulpix and the Little Girl is very, very cute! I love books, so being able to add this to my budding Vulpix collection was a real treat!
I just realized while typing about Raichu later in the post that I forgot to put my Raichu Pokedoll in this picture! Poor Raichu! I love him so much, but he was just so happily nestled in my Fire/Electric plush cubby that I didn't even SEE him! (Maybe he was hiding from me because he's camera shy!)
Next, I'll do figures! Can you tell I collect Turtwigs??? My Turtwig collection is exploding, and I love it! I'll post an update when a few more things arrive!
I felt so fortunate to find that Jolteon Jakks on here for such a great price. He was on here on Christmas day, so I consider him part of Christmas. I also felt really lucky when I found that Victini Jakks at BIG LOTS for just $5!
These next two figures are so amazing that they need their own photos!
These Waza Museum figures are just AMAZING! They're even more beautiful in person! I never imagined that they would be as lovely as they are! I was almost breathless upon seeing them for the first time! I know there are a few more in production, but I hope they make lots more! (Though, I'm not sure if they will...)
I'm not really a flats collector, but I love some of the card sleeve designs! I had to have Skyla and Elesa for my little side collection of them! The badges aren't in the packages still; they're pinned onto the Basket of Cute, which will get its own update in the future! Here's a close-up of the badges! They're so lovely! I want the Basic and Insect badges too! I hope to fill the bandana on the front of the Basket of Cute with pins!
You'll notice there's an error in that Mareep line! The other pins from both sets are with my button exchange buddy, clair2522! One of my favorite things about this community is getting to talk with everyone and make new friends! I've made a few very close ones, like her, and it's just a great experience!
The last thing I want to talk about for gets is the Audino Dot Sprite pin! It's my first from the series, and I absolutely love it! It makes me want the Bianca one even more! I hope that I can find her someday!

Anyway, I wanted to ask how the Pokemon you collect have come into your life! Was it love at first sight? Did you just see the design and KNOW it was meant to be? Was it because it was so cool/funny/cute in the anime? Or did you fall in love after using it in a game? Or did you just not like one that eventually grew on you? Or was it a combination of these things?
I loved Raichu and Turtwig at first sight. I liked Victini just fine, but after the 14th movie, I LOVED him! I've found a recent love for Ampharos after having one in my team in Black 2, so I think he'll get his own little side collection... I didn't like Oshawott much at first, but he was very amusing in the anime, and I chose him in my game because I liked Dewott and Samurott, but I really love that little otter now! Vulpix, who is one of my main collections, was a combination of design love and in-game love! Jolteon is the same!
