Fixing Clearfiles?

Oct 09, 2012 16:34

Hey community, I could use some advice. I just got my Gym Leader clearfile in the mail, and it all seven kinds of bent to hell thanks to overseas mail. Is there anything I can do to right that? I don't have my camera, but it is pretty bad... any techniques?

Augh, a couple years back I bought a super cute clearfile and it came all the way from Japan just fine in perfect condition, but then the mailman bent it in half to fit it in the mailbox :| Hope you're able to fix yours!

Even if you can't get it flattened, buying a cheap frame for it might be an option. Half of my Pokemon Conquest postcards are bent down the middle (to the point where they curl up into a semi-circle), but you can't even tell now that they're in frames.

It was shipped without cardboard protection?

It had very thin, flimsy cardboard, which was also all bent to hell xD So I guess it didn't suffice.

I don't get why people don't understand the concept of using something HARD to keep a clearfile flat >__<

I am going to second what a previous poster said and suggest pressing it between two large books for at least a week or two. I know you are worried about setting the wrinkles in, but I can assure that as long as you lay it flat that shouldn't be an issue. The heat sounds like it might work, but make sure you are extremely careful it doesn't get too hot or you could melt it. : C Sadly I speak from experience in that department.
