Thanks to everyone who responded to my last post on fixing/cleaning plush/figures!  After reading that and looking around the internet I sorta came up with my own approach to hand washing plush that I’d like to share as well as a few of my recent gets (and an unexpected grail!)

Grats to you! That is a pretty amazing get!!

Also thank you for your method of cleaning plush. The before and after pictures really show how well it works :)

Thanks!

Glad I could help! If you zoom in you can see them bigger-I swear, they were dirtier/cleaner than they show up in pictures!!! Even after I was done washing them I had to pull a lot of hair out from under Charmander's fur but since the hair was now CLEAN it was slightly less gross.

Slightly.

But I still got a lot of the dirt outta them especially Butterfree.

And they smell so much better now. I can't say that enough. Fabric softener is amazing. :P

good guide

i tried to clean a beanie plush that i just got, like you posted above, but the stains are so deep i can't get them out sadly. I rubbed the stains very long and let it soak, but the stains were still there afterwards. i'm really sad that the plush has so many stains, my bf wanted to surprise me with it and thaught i could get the stains out, sadly that don't seem so.

The pics are taken after the cleaning:

Thanks for making this, I love it. I'm afraid to clean my Celebi/Piplup because they have batteries boxes, a light handwash should work.
