Canadian Nationalism

I struggled much of the morning on that post I wrote about Peter Gomes' The Good Life, but a bit of other wandering has led to something I wanted to post quickly.

I've started reading The Globe and Mail in the past few days, which has been interesting. These two stories, one about Canadian environmental rules affecting cruise lines, and one about disputes over the Northwest Passage, which has been warming up in recent years, have clicked with some of the thinking I have been doing about Stan Rogers. I don't have the energy for teasing out those thoughts, but here's a page of Rogers videos, which includes a clip from The National of work on an icebreaker, set to Rogers' "Northwest Passage."
