Damn, this week has not been fun.

Rather than go into another work rant, which I'm sure everyone's tired of seeing from me, I'll just say work continues to be crazy. It's getting a little better, but it still seems that anytime I start to think I see a light at the end of the tunnel, another train comes through and tries to mow me down ( Read more... )

Sometimes it's the meds that will do it. A few years ago my grandpa passed out and had to go to the hospital, and the doctor (who was not his doctor at the time but our doctor, who is also the one who said I was dying and needed to get into ICU when I had erlichiosis) said he was on too many meds. As soon as they adjusted them, he was fine, so hopefully that's all your grandma needs. Come on, lady, you can make it to 100 or beyond! :)

Also, looks like you were about where I was for both Bush concerts. All the teenyboppers who only cared about Gavin being cute got all the good seats.

Mom's home now, and says Grandma seems to be doing better. They're waiting for the blood thinner to work its way out of her system so they can put in a pacemaker, then they'll put her back on it. The drug will keep her pulse/blood pressure from getting too high while the pacemaker will keep it steady and stop it from dropping too low. Hopefully that will be enough to keep her feeling better without having to resort to any serious surgery.

Thankfully, with all the huge screens they use now, those seats aren't really so bad. People aren't as rowdy high up, so you don't feel like you have to get up for every song and boogie. hehe

That's good. My grandpa was fine after they adjusted his meds, but of course he was younger (still is, than your grandma I mean) and didn't have the same problems. I often wonder what it's like for them to know they are virtually at the end of their lives. Sounds morbid, but I really mean it. Must be a weird feeling, even if they still have a few years.

I don't think Bush had huge screens. They definitely didn't the third time I saw them at this big concert that gets put on every year in Columbia at the baseball field. That was the one where the stupid girl I was supposed to meet up with there didn't even come looking for me in the stands and I got stuck with some weirdo guy who bought me a hot dog. I will NEVER go to a concert alone again (not that I intended to be alone). At any rate, Bush was also about five miles away from my seat. :P
