Arthur/Morgana - Four things Arthur said...

I love Arthur/Morgana so much ^_^ And I got inspired to write some mildly sweet AMo instead of the deliciously angsty stuff the ship is made of! Written for merlin_rarepair's challenge, Five Things. No beta once more, so please point out any mistakes :3

Also, I decided that the "please comment" line was annoying so I put it up here instead :D Please comment! ( Read more... )

genre: romance, fanfiction, rating: pg, pairing: arthur/morgana

Wow! I loved this very much :) It was so... intense and I love the expression of Morgana's feelings and how it really could go any way... the only thing I got a little confused about was the ending because my brain obviously didn't make the transition. Sigh. Oh well, I still enjoyed it ♥

Aw, I'm sorry it didn't work for you :( Which part confused you? xD lol Recently when I write I get really annoyed because I'm so unsure whether what seems understandable to me would come across to others... guess that's why I need a beta :P

Thank you very much for your comment, A/Mo is such a lovely, intense ship ^_^

Just from the part after it says '"You will," she promised'... but then again, I just woke up and am a little brain dead so it might not be you it might be me. Haha.

I'm sorry once again that it confused you :( Is it the fast-forwarding? Basically Morgana left Camelot and Arthur married Gwen in her (very) long absence, and Morgana and Arthur become "enemies", if that's the right word... I hope it makes more sense now?

Thanks a lot for pointing out what was wrong :)

This was lovely and very well written. I enjoy so much their teasing, I think they'll just tease each other for eternity even after their death, annd love each other like children and like lovers. I would have loved to have a more conventional happy ending but the last line of the fiction was beautiful, and it made sense

Yes, well they did get some kind of happy ending right? lol In my head, in the afterlife they're forever together :D Thanks so much for your comment! <3

This was very beautiful. You touch on many different aspects of their relationship in each of these moments. That first moment just tugged at my heart, because there really was this boyish simplicity to Arthur's words of "I'll always need you" and Morgana's right that -- in the context -- he meant it alot more simply than her beating heart got out of his words. And yet, he did end up being right. I love that you came back to those words later. It just really drove the point home how much he relied on her and loved her and yet as you put..."fate did not need them" -- a harsh truth but one they both accepted ( ... )

Aww, thank you so much for the lovely comment :D I always did think that whatever happened in the mortal plane, at least they get to enjoy afterlife together... because Gwen has Lancelot after all :) The interesting thing about Arthur/Morgana is that Morgana knows Arthur so well, so she''s not like someone who can take his words with a grain of salt, if that makes sense... They're so fascinating to write :) Thank you again for the wonderful comment ^_^

The interesting thing about Arthur/Morgana is that Morgana knows Arthur so well

That's probably my favorite part of their relationship actually, the fact that they know each other so well. I just find their relationship all the more intriguing because they've known each other since childhood, which seems to breed this level of honesty and familiarity between them that you can't find with any other couple on the show (at least not yet). Take the scene from my icon -- she knows exactly what to say to persuade him to do what she asks and he acquiesces.

But yes, even if they're doomed in the mortal world, I would hope that they end up together in the end because Gwen indeed has Lancelot!

I like to think of Morgana as being able to manipulate all men, but yes you're right she absolutely has Arthur (and Uther) wrapped around her finger ^_^ It's one of the tragic aspects of this ship that the show will inevitably have her betray this and "turn evil"... but in exchange for lots of angst! :D I love A/M, angst and all...
