I just finished watching it (thank you iPlayer!) and I love how every time Merlin heads into a dangerous situation with Arthur, they never think to give him any armour. Or most times even a sword.
The slash was indeed up to 11 and allowed me to overlook some of the particularly saccharine A/G parts. I esp loved the whole "supercilious" part. Tis a great word, verily.
Mostly did not find this ep that interesting though. I'm still mostly watching for the cast. And the lovely fans, of course.
I would start watching Misfits but I have approximately 10 shows I need to catch up with already... just finished Big Bnag Theory, phew.
Well it's not like armour has any function at all in Merlin (oh producers, you fail physics forever~). Indeed the supercilious part was awesome, it was really refreshing compared to the other Arthur/Merlin we've had. I'm sorry you didn't find it interesting, but I guess this poor show can't exactly please everyone :(
Misfits is amazing! Consistently written, funny and featuring some really, really talented actors. I need to start watching everything that people have been recommending to me too, hee!
there were some really adorable bradley and colin moments, and though i go for general BFFery rather than slash, it's so hard not to see the chemistry sometimes. LOL.
but yeah gwen, way to not worry about morgana at all.
and shame on you too, arthur and merlin.
at least her name was mentioned once? *frowny face*
and lol, i have this great scene in my head when merlin tells gaius what happened:
GAIUS: Well, what did you say to Arthur this time? MERLIN: *sniggers* I told him he killed the dragon. GAIUS: And he *believed* you? MERLIN: *nods* GAIUS: *ROTFL* MERLIN: *ROTFL*
I kinda feel sad about how Gwen doesn't get to do *anything* non-Arthur-related. I mean she didn't even get that bucket of water back to the poor dying people, did she? :(
Seriously, the "Merlin-lying-at-Arthur" thing is getting old now. He even lied to him about the Dragon, wtf? Is "oh he just changed his mind and flew away" less believable than "YOU KILLED IT ALL BY YOURSELF"?!?! xD
I do hate that Morgana had to die/leave Camelot but that the Dragon got to fly away in peace after murdering lots of innocent people, but hey, Morgana isn't the last of her kind. *stabs TV logic*
Still, I loved this episode. It's just Colin... I don't know how he does it. He's just so adorable, all the time *squishes*
