Why do parents have to be assholes?  they get mad at me and say that i am the most selfish person to ever walk the planet.  this has been going on ever since they found out about me being atheist and my other/ old problem....that i no longer do anymore.  melissa is coming down this weekend and they are telling me that i might not get to see her.

parents can be assholes, i definetly agree, but most of the time they're just trying to protect you because they want to keep you safe. It's hard to see that while it's happening though. Just be thankful that they actually care enough to want you to do what they think is right.....unfortunately, their views are not what you follow, but that's how it is for almost everyone. You just have to learn to get along until you can get away. That's what I do.
