Despite what I will call popular opinion, upper level Women's and Gender Studies classes are NOT intended to educate on the basics of feminism or feminist theory. Thanks VKS - I thought about how I was sitting in there with about 13 women so statistically at least one of us must have been raped. It was the worst way to approach a discussion of what the article we read called "sexual terrorism." I don't own that experience, but I feel very protective of other women who do. So I opened my mouth and shrieked a lot like a banshee. And I'm ok with that.

I have to hand it to you, Leigh. You are truly amazing. People should only dream of becoming half as open and worldly as you are. Everything I read that you write makes me want to stand and applaud you.

My goodness! (Yes I said my goodness. It's the first thing that came to my mind!) That is so kind and generous of you. I truly appreciate that.

It sounds like you're doing well way out there and I'm thrilled for you. You took a big risk and that's the only way to grow and learn, by putting yourself out there on limb and hoping you don't fall. Brava and good for you!
