This year's "82nd Kenshin Festival", had drastically repainted previous records with a turn-up of 203,100 people.
This figure has exceeded the highest record thus far - A turn-out of 83,200 back in 2001 - by over 100,000 people
It's also exceeded the city's objective by close to 3 times its intended target.
According to the city, breaking down of the statistics show that the attendance for the first day,
where Gackt participated in the war procession, is 185,200 as opposed to the attendance of only 17,900 for the 2nd day.
WAH!!! 185,200 vs 17,900! That's about 10x the attendance of the 2nd day!! O_O:
and a 100,000+ jump from the previous record is freaking WOW!!! Gackt your charisma is amazing~

二十五、二十六の両日に上越市春日山地区で行われた「第八十二回謙信公祭」の入り込みが二十万三千百人となり、過去最高を大幅に塗り替えたことが明らかになった。
放送中のＮＨＫ大河ドラマ「風林火山」で上杉謙信公を演じているＧａｃｋｔ（ガクト）さんが、謙信公役で参加したことによる。これまでの最高は平成十三年の八万三千二百人で、十万人以上も上積みした形。市の目標の三倍近くにも達した。
木浦正幸市長が二十七日の会見で発表した。市長は、今回の盛り上がりを弾みとし、「（再来年の大河ドラマに決定している）天地人にピークをもっていきたい」などと語った。
市によると、入り込みの内訳は、ガクトさんが出陣行列に参加した初日が十八万五千二百人。これに対し、二日目は一万七千九百人。
