Music has always held such a strong connection to me and my memories. I hear a song and instantly know what year it was from, because I remember listening to it in a memory. Thanks. It's not so bad anymore. Just every once in awhile I remember and it makes me sad.

I understand completly. For me it's stupid TV shows I know my brother watched. I'll find myself watching The hilarious house of Frankenstine and crying my eyes out at 4 in the morning sometimes. Danny has been gone for a little over 3 years. I miss my brother.

I always think of you when I have one of these "I miss Stephanie" moments and then post it on LJ. ((Hugs))

I hear you. I can't listen to a few of Ani's songs because it takes me straight back to times that I have no desire to relive. You should crank that song up and just scream as long and as hard as you can - she'll hear you - and I bet she'd sing along too.

My friend Billy passed away three years ago - we used to ditch high school and drive around listening to Sublime . . . . Every time 'Smoke Two Joints' come son my ipod I always take a second to stop everything and just fucking sing along, because I know he is too.
Kind of helps to curb the missing . . . . doesn't do shit for the pain, but I like to imagine him, where ever he is, just jamming along with me . . .

I like that positive way to think...remembering with a smile does help. I will have to remember a happy, fun song to overshadow the somber ones....

*sniff sniff* Gah - My brain immediately relates situations, places or people to the music that has touched me. I am so sorry about the loss of your sister.I lost my best friend and business partner in 2002 - he died suddenly but not from an accident. Sarah McL's Angel still rips my heart out...I hug you.

OMG ... I heard that song playing on the radio a few days after my sister died and I baaaawwwld my eyes out. I was at work too. Ugh. Thank goodness I was alone at the moment that the song was played.

Saddest song in the world.
