LJ Idol Week 21: The Way Back

It's ironic that the topic this week is "The Way Back" since all my energy has been on trying to find a way back to the US to fix all of my problems. It's all I can think about - how am I going to get rid of my apartment? Will my landlord find out I'm not there? Knowing him, will it mean trouble and more calls where he brings me to tears? What

nooo D: I'm so sorry to see you go!! I totally understand (almost had to do this myself this week with all the medical things and stress I have going on too rn, it's a rough time for everyone D:) but I'm so sorry. I've loved reading your entries and getting to know you!

*hugs* I completely understand. It does sound as though you're making the right decision for you and being incredibly fair to competing Idolars. But I don't think it's "you" when it comes to community, this season has felt....different in that regard. I definitely think we are at the point where we can say - see you next season! In the meantime, take care of yourself and good luck sorting everything that needs sorting.

I don't think you should feel bad or apologize for anything, especially right now. Things are really complicated everywhere, and we're all suffering.

Also, if you have a written contract with the landlord, he doesn't have the power to just void it at a whim. He sounds like a control freak.
