Somehow I didn't know about unemployment supplementing income, that is great just to keep you busy and resume sharp for whatever you wind up in.

Glad to see busy isn't sadness.

Well there are issues with working part-time and getting unemployment to make up the difference that have kept me from doing this in the past. They'll likely require an interview and hold all benefits until they talk to me and find out it's part time. If one week I make more than a certain amount, I lose unemployment and have to re-file. It really discourages people from trying, they make it scary as heck. But I'm tired of sitting around and waiting for something to happen and for the right part time job, I'll take the risk. The humane society one pays just shy of what I'd make on unemployment and I'd love my job (and could get a second part time job if unemployment screws with me and be better off than I am now. But not all part time jobs pay enough to do that).

I'd really like to get the job at the humane society considering I'd love to work with animals in some way or another. There's a possibility I could take classes and work within animal management or maybe even a vet tech. Both in demand fields right now that I'd enjoy better ( ... )
