Went to the Turin Book Fair yesterday, and I had an awesome time. I got loads of books and even some comics (House of M... Man, I love how Olivier Coipel draws.). I can pig out on Discworld now! XD ( Read more... )

books, book fair, fiera del libro di torino, angels, marvel

Yep! Not as many as I'd've liked, but I got the four that were there: Equal Rites, Pyramids, Reaper Man and Thud!. Never look a gift horse, hm?

Yeah, it was pretty fun. :D Got swollen feet and broken shoulders for it, though, lol.

I think it's fucking adorable. It's a monkey with a baby doll mask, which is part of an Indonesian festival.

Start with Thud!. Equal Rites sucks. :(

Sounds like a good trade-off anyway. :D

It kind of scares me... :P Creepy baby/monkey creature...

I'm actually quite enjoying it. It's made me laugh out loud quite a bit. :)

All the best things in life involve corporal pain in some way. XD

Oh, there was this stall selling bibles. They had The Messiah: the Manga, and I just couldn't help but burst out laughing. One of the guys said to me and my friends that now we didn't have an excuse to not read it, and I answered, "I know what's in the Bible - unfortunately". Made my best friend giggle like a lunatic.

Book fair? That sounds awesome! I don't think we have anything like that around here. :/

It's certainly one of the biggest in Italy. It was quite odd, because not many people read books in Italy. In fact my friends and I were the only ones with any substantial bags, except for two people with small shopping trolleys like grannies have.
