Day of the red moon

I was driving to work on 280 this morning and I noticed something really surreal. Because of all the haze from the fires in Morgan Hill and in Sac, the sun was just a big red ball in the grey and pink overcast. It was very pretty but also rather unnerving. I feels like it means something but I just can't quite put my finger on what. And my day has

I didn't realize there was a fire in Sacramento as well. On the bus, I thought that it looked like we'd been transported across the vastness of space and were now orbiting another star.

Smoke from a fire in Plumas County blew down the Feather River Canyon into the East Bay on Wednesday, creating a noticeable haze but no health risk, authorities said.

Winds at the fire shifted Tuesday night. Normally, the wind there blows from the southwest, but on Tuesday, the wind blew downward from the northeast, propelling the "Moonlight Fire" smoke toward the East Bay.

i tried taking a picture of the sun this morning on my way to work, but since i only had my camera phone...i dont think it turned out ok
