First, I made a movie of myself using my webcam. Then, I used Ulead Gif animator 5 to make the video into an animated gif. Then I used Macromedia Fireworks MX to embed, or "import" the animated gif into the picture, and voila!

Anyhoo. I use tons and tons of different programs to make icons. My favorite program in the universe is Macromedia Fireworks MX. I create most of my icons that way. Or if I want m icons animated, I either use Fireworks MX or Ulead Gif Animator 5. Now, for the little mini movies, I use Ulead (like the swimming thing I'm doing in the icon here), and create them as animated gifs.
It's long and complicated, but if you're as nerdy as me, you'll get the gist of it!
