At the moment:

Spencer/Amaterasu/Tron.

Will likely cover characters in a later post.

You, my friend, have a more vicious team than you may realize. (Last night I learned that Tron is actually the best character in the game and you should KNOW why Amaterasu is a beast!)

There's something cosmically correct about Wesker being a total dick-move character, sob

PRETTY MUCH THIS.

But yeah, other than him I am honestly enjoying the hell out of this, and I'm really surprised Niitsuma basically ignored the wailing of the fandom and made TvC:HD. Granted, I AM PERFECTLY OKAY WITH THAT.

But oh wow, considering how bad my experience with MvC2 was I'm surprised I'm finding so much to like about it-- teams that actually WORK FOR ME. Viper is FAST LIKE WHOA. SINGLE PLAYER IS ACTUALLY BEATABLE ON NORMAL. Characters unlock like THAT.

(Also I love how big bad Galactus is STILL less of a dick than Seth :))

Too bad Galactus isn't voiced by George Takei in this game.

Honestly I don't think it's all THAT much like TvC, but that's a good thing as it means TvC isn't outdated.

To me it seems like they STARTED with TvC and then when people complained they removed all the balance. No Mega Crush, free air combo tags, X-Factor, ect...

True, but it does feel more like a reasonable balance between TvC and MvC2-- Granted, many of the characters still feel broken but the controls have been simplified/tightened up, it's easier to get a handle on the more complex techniques, and while I do miss Mega Crush, X-Factor is a nice thing to have in a bind.

Basically, it doesn't feel JUST RIGHT the way TvC did, but even when I'm getting my ass kicked I still feel like I'm LEARNING and having FUN with it, which is more than I can say for MvC2 which just felt like a constant, dreary uphill struggle.
