How convenient

Isn't it funny how people get in touch with you when they need something or could use help? Friday I was bribed out of the woodwork to help a friend's dad get ready for some folks visiting this weekend. Yes, it was odd as it sounds. Thing is, they weren't *my* guests, or even people I really know. And don't anyone even bother to repeat that ( Read more... )

You should come out here with us! Pronto! We wouldn't use you... Except when it comes time to move. ;)

I've run into a few experiences where I definitely got the feeling I was only around because I was momentarily useful. So sometimes, it's better not being asked than to be left wondering why you were.

hey don't blame me! I didn't have a clue. Heck, they should've called me, but you know how that goes. So take my appology that they bribed you into it, thank GOD the kids are horrible..and learn to say NO! :D Worked for me dealing with the whole shebang. (btw is that bridle working out?)

It wasn't necessarily bad, just a bit unusual. I wouldn't say anyone was horrible, so I'm not sure what you mean. She seemed to be a pretty cool kid, in fact, and seemed to be having a good time. I guess that's all that mattered.

I wasn't busy Friday, so I didn't really have a good reason to say no to someone who needed a hand. I thought you said you weren't speaking to your parents?

Yeah, it's amazing how far being sick goes towards "patching things up." ;)

I do indeed, hence the prospect of adding more is never a big motivating factor.

the whole thing with "friends" needing you when they have trouble happens to me all the time. Especially ones who have hurt me and then years later come back and ask for help without appologizing. and the whole thing about manual labor putting hair on your chest. I hope not cause i have done my fair share of manual labor. :)
