Meep. Makes me all hurty, damn you. Love how Cas (I'm assuming it's Cas) respected Sam's wishes at the end.

Yup, I was leaning towards it being Cas there at the end. Just him coming back and wanting to explain himself to Sam who thinks it's all his fault that Dean's like this. :)

I just love your character voices here; especially your interpretation of what's going on in Sam's mind at this point in the story. Great work!

Oh, thank you! I always feel like character voices are my Achilles' heel, so when I hear they sound good to somebody else, it makes me all happy inside. :)

Oh, was that Castiel at the end there?

I could just see this as the filler between 4.16 and 4.17. The flutter of wings of the angels before the boys were whammied into that office building, Dean in his suit, Sam in his yellow shirt. A much needed filler, the h/c that was missing after the hospital scene. Lovely!

I was leaning towards it being, Castiel, yup. But, now that you make the comment about this being a filler between 4.16 and 4.17, I can definitely see how it could be perceived as the angels coming to throw the boys into their lil' AU world. So...let's just say that angel at the end there is open to interpretation. ;)
