How expensive is expensive?

Ermmm in the uk retail I belive it might be about £7.00 per meter. Not prohibitive but it might be for production. There is a 2.7 retail mark up here meaning that costs are a huge issue.

Gawd! I never pay more than £5 a metre retail for anything, with the exception of my nicest silk Duchesse Satin and Brocade.

Still, I suppose it depends on how much you need, and how reliable a supply you need to have.

Yea... its very expensive for using on ready to wear. I love to use it on my own stuff though... I tend to average a lot more than that on my outer fabrics, even at wholesale prices but I need to learn to cut costs.
