I think it's awesome. This is like one of my "dream seasons" that I play on PS2 with EA's "NHL" games. Finally the Pens can afford to sign all the guys who would normally be in the Rangers' locker room. I think they're looking deep into the playoffs this year. No more "rebuilding".

As far as Niedermayer, I think they left off trying to sign him after they signed Gonchar. I think he re-signed with New Jersey after that.

I'm glad, too, that we got Palffy. I always liked him as a player and I can't wait to see what they do with him when it comes linewise.

Well then that settles it :) Jersey can keep their triple Scott line (Stevens, Gomez, Niedermayer) and we can beat them with our special Gonchar powers! we needed more goal-scoring defencemen on our team; and we got one! not to say that dick tarnstrom didn't score goals- he did!- but another goal-scorer wouldn't be terrible to have on our side.

tough choice there... hmm... i'll take d) all of the above + a tad more money - greed + new rules + new area to = good hockey

I'm not a huge fan of Palffy, really, but that's because I don't know much about him (playing over in LA doesn't really get a player much exposure to fans in the Eastern Conference). I know he's good, so I'm excited that he'll be playing for us.

And I thought Niedermayer signed with Anaheim already...?

so absolutely thrilled!!!! i've been a fan of his since he signed with the kings in the 99-00 season (i'm also a huge kings fan, thanks to one mr. robitaille who i fell in love with in 1994 when he was briefly a pen). i saw that he wasn't signed with anyone, and i had joked to my old roommate that it'd be great if we got ziggy.... but i never thought it would really happen.

so yeah, needless to say, i'm getting cable for the first time in three years :)

i only fanned the Kings when Straka left us for them. ;) but yes, it will be a good time to get cable.
