I go to schoolhouse in South Side. The beginner classes are def. for beginners. They are happy to help w/ modifications! I really enjoy them, they aren't super crowded, and the teachers are super dippy hippy skinny chicks either (which, as a larger person love)
It's been awhile, but the beginner classes at Schoolhouse in the Strip were good beginner and/or getting back to yoga classes. Do let any teachers know of your arthritis and they can give you modified positions that can be really helpful. I have issues not entirely unlike that and modifications have been great and kept me from sitting out a few things, which is always a kindness when it was something you *used* to be able to do with ease.
