There is a kiosk/cart at the Robinson Mall - first level, near the Starbucks - that does this kind of thing.

The guy assured us he could do photos, but we ended up doing just text because we couldn't find photos that worked for our plan. So I can't vouch for the end quality of a photo print, but I can vouch that they would be able to do it for you.

He did show us what the art would look like on the computer before printing, and then we got to look at the printed transfer before he put it on the shirt, so you'd be able to see if it's going to turn out the way you want it before getting the finished product.

You can just walk up if you have the file on a thumb drive or a CD. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the cart or have any contact info. Maybe the general mall customer service line could help you if you do want to get in touch first.

Hope that helps!

That is SUPER helpful.

"Customized Teez" (not a typo) exists in both Robinson and Monroeville Mall per both mall websites. I'm on hold with the dude at Robinson to be very sure they can do what I need done before I haul my sorry self out there. This is closer than I got on on the several calls I made earlier today. W00T!

THANKSx1million!

Let us know when he gets back to you, and let us know the type of artwork if you could... I've been looking for a place that can do one-off shirts for me.

Up till now, I always had them airbrushed, but that is generally prohibitively expensive ($30-40/shirt)

They can do a jpg or png, but best to bring both if you can on a jump drive. You don't need to reverse the image before saving. They can do that (and are totally set up for, he made some comment about This Is What We Do, don't worry). I am bringing some special sized shirts that they don't carry. He wanted to be sure they were white or very pale for obvious reasons. I'm hoping it will work on a yellow shirt, thus the query. It should, and he reminded me there is no white ink. I know that but I'm sure a lot of people just don't get it. He didn't talk down to me about it, just stating the facts to be sure my expectations were correct ( ... )

They are cool people, and I actually know how to screenprint, but this isn't the right timing for that high-intensity of output on my part. Thanks though!

There was a place that did custom one off t-shirts and the like represented at the mini maker fair in the childrens museum the weekend before last. I think it was spare room workshop.

I know it's probably too late for you, but there is a product called bubble jet that works on laser printers and inkjets.
