Today is Good Friday.

The following are closed: City of Pittsburgh offices, Allegheny County courts, the district attorney's office and the sheriff's firearms division. Other county offices are open.

City garbage collections will take place as scheduled. Mail will be delivered and post offices,

Well the cops were definitely out in force today... the city was crawling with them.

Oddly enough, it appears that recycling collection was done this morning, even though trash was picked up yesterday. At least for me. (Our recycling collection has been really scattershot, frequently skipping weeks and collecting on what should be off weeks, or collecting at all times of day.)
