How would I go about finding short-term rentals (4 months in my case) in Squirrel Hill? Craigslist isn't being helpful, as most of the sublet ads are for this summer, and posting a sublet wanted ad has resulted in nothing but scam attempts

Definitely the shadyside inn. they give discounts also if you mention your daughter goes to school in the area. they do daily/weekly/monthly rentals. they are like fully furnished apartment suites (larger than a normal hotel). 412-441-4444.

Most of the larger landlords will rent by the month, but the rates scale up after you go for less than a one year lease.
